In 2024, Ouray Studio was founded by Todd Mayfield as a transitional creative service boutique in Colorado.
After 22 successful years as principal of Avia Design Group, serving the US, Canadian, and Caribbean markets.
Todd now focuses on his passion for fine arts and writing while continuing his design services for select clientele.
Having over 35 years of experience in visual communications, including brand development, wayfinding, advertising, and print graphics, Todd has earned numerous awards for design excellence and profound respect among his constituents. He is a classically trained fine artist, an accomplished illustrator, and a published author. His work has been featured in national publications and books, including Print Magazine, Signs of the Times, and American Corporate Identity. He was featured in an online interview by the European-based Placebrand Observer and has served on their expert panel.
The Mayfield family has embraced the arts for generations. Starting with Todd's grandfather, extending to his father, uncles, cousins, nephew and children, the name Mayfield is synonymous with creativity and artisanship. Despite the success of Todd's graphic design and wayfinding services, fine art has always been his true passion.

Creativity and the pursuit of excellence have shaped Todd Mayfield’s life and work for decades. Following a successful career as a designer, marked by multiple awards of excellence and a loyal client base, Todd is now partially retired from his graphic design business. While his passion for the fine arts remains, his focus has shifted toward writing and exploring the deeper questions that have guided him since his early twenties. A lifelong seeker, Todd’s interests span spirituality, philosophy, psychology, world religions, and the evolving dialogue between science and consciousness. For him, creativity has always been more than a profession; it has been a way of inquiry, a means of observing how ideas shape perception, meaning, and human growth.
How to Prepare for the Next Shift of Consciousness
Five Divine Questions explores the quiet sense of misalignment many people feel beneath the busy, productive lives they lead.
Across cultures and history, humanity has returned again and again to the same essential questions: who are we?, where do we come from?, why are we here?, where are we going?, and how to do we get there? This book traces how those questions have been answered through nature-based traditions, organized religion, and modern science, and why each approach emerged when it did.
Five Divine Questions explores the growing convergence of spirituality, consciousness studies, and science. It considers what will be required of us to maintain balance and joy as this new shift in consciousness takes hold.
Practices, Principles and the Emerging Science of Spirit
Aletheia Path to Enlightenment is a thoughtful exploration of consciousness, self-awareness, and the quiet truths that shape a meaningful life. Rather than promoting rigid beliefs, it invites readers into a process of inquiry grounded in reflection, discernment, and direct experience.
Drawing on wisdom traditions and modern insights, the book examines how perception, thought, and identity shape everyday experience, guiding readers toward greater clarity, balance, and awareness beyond conditioned patterns.
This is not a guide for escaping life, but for engaging it more fully. It is written for those who seek truth with humility, growth with patience, and insight with openness.
A Call to Angels Among Us
The Silent Countdown is a clear-eyed and urgent exploration of the forces quietly shaping humanity’s future, and the narrowing window we have to respond. Written at the intersection of science, spirituality, and human behavior, this book examines the most perilous challenges facing civilization today: nuclear weapons, climate collapse, engineered pandemics, runaway artificial intelligence, and cosmic threats beyond Earth itself. These dangers do not arrive with dramatic alarms. They advance incrementally, embedded in systems built for speed, profit, and power, while wisdom struggles to keep pace.
Blending rigorous analysis with philosophical reflection, personal insight, and moments of gentle levity, The Silent Countdown refuses both despair and denial. It does not promise easy answers or instant enlightenment. Instead, it offers orientation, helping readers understand the moment they are living in and the role they already play within it.
